A Missed Dream.

Yesterday, I watched a movie titled Dear John. This movie tells about a couple who undergo a long-distance relationship (LDR) because John, the main male character, is an army. And this movie reminds me to my old, childhood, dream. Being an army.

Why do I want to be an army?


Maybe some people will say "no way" when they hear it. Funny eh? But yes, dude, that's my dream. I don't mind cutting my hair short like a man, having a hard training and exercise everyday, maybe boys will keep their distance with me. Which is, I will be a little late to get married. Haha. But really, that doesn't matter.


And I really understand it would not be easy, beautiful like Disney or another happy ending movie.


For me, it's a honor to be able to serve my country that way. And not just about dedication to the homeland, it's about dedication to life of every human. Dedication to the justice. Dedication to God. There is a lot of ways to do those, but my soul desires that way.

I'm not afraid of risk I would face ahead. I'm not afraid of leaving my beloved persons for months, maybe years. And I'm not afraid of using guns, and get shot by it too. I never be afraid of it.

I'm surprised realizing how passion could give you so much strength and courage. How passion could give you so much hopes.

Being an army - a dream I got to forget since I'm using glasses. One big regret in my life.

And sometimes when I see myself in the mirror, I ask myself. Am I capable to it? Is it just a dream for a moment?

Now I'm walking in a different way. I'm saying goodbye to that dream. But the hope never been really disappear. If it's not now, it will in the future or perhaps in another life. I believe it.

For now, I will do my best in this way. A true warrior never complaining.
I maybe not a soldier now, but my soul is.

500 Volunteer untuk Menjadi Pendamping Anak-Anak Jalanan di Jambore Sahabat Anak 2012

1.000 anak jalanan, 500 volunteer pendamping, 200 panitia dan pengisi acara akan bergabung menyampaikan satu pesan: “SUARAKAN IMPIANMU!” Mau bergabung?

Jambore Sahabat Anak (JSA) akan kembali berlangsung untuk yang ke-16 kalinya. Bertempat di Camping Ground Ragunan, tanggal 7-8 Juli 2012 (hari Sabtu-Minggu), tahun ini akan mengundang 1.000 anak jalanan yang berada di JaBoDeTaBek.

JSA adalah program tahunan Sahabat Anak, diadakan dalam rangka memperingati Hari Anak Nasional yang jatuh setiap tanggal 23 Juli.

Tahun ini, JSA mengusung tema "Suarakan Impianmu!", dan merupakan puncak dari kampanye hak anak berpartisipasi dalam mengeluarkan pendapat, yang sudah dimulai sejak bulan Februari 2012.

Salah satu keunikan JSA adalah, terjalinnya hubungan persahabatan antara para kakak pendamping dengan anak-anak jalanan yang mereka dampingi selama 2 hari 1 malam. Ini juga merupakan sebuah kesempatan dimana masyarakat dapat belajar secara nyata bahwa anak-anak yang biasa hidup di jalan adalah anak-anak yang bisa dijadikan sahabat, karena walau dalam kondisi kerasnya kehidupan yang mereka alami, pada dasarnya mereka tetap seorang anak, yang sama berharganya dengan anak-anak lain di seluruh dunia.

Tahun ini, kami membutuhkan 500 orang SAHABAT yang dengan sukarela bersedia menjadi PENDAMPING selama 2 hari 1 malam. Menjadi pendamping berarti bersedia menjadi sahabat bagi 2 orang adik yang akan didampingi selama 2 hari penuh ~ makan bersama, tidur dalam 1 tenda, menjadi teman bercerita, menemani mereka bermain, dll.

Persyaratannya adalah sebagai berikut:

• Bersedia menerima visi-misi dan prinsip-prinsip pelayanan Sahabat Anak (terlampir)
• Bersedia menandatangani Child Protection Agreement (dilakukan pada saat menghadiri briefing pendamping)
• Usia minimal 18 tahun di tahun 2012 atau pengajar tetap Bimbingan Belajar peserta
• Memiliki minat terhadap pelayanan anak
• Wajib menghadiri briefing pendamping minimal 1x pada:

1. Hari/Tgl : Sabtu/Minggu, 16, 17 dan 23 Juni 2012
2. PILIH SALAH SATU TANGGAL SAJA
3. Waktu : Pkl. 14.00-17.00 WIB
4. Tempat : Museum Bank Mandiri -Jl. Lapangan Stasiun No. 1, Jakbar

• Wajib mengikuti seluruh rangkaian acara mulai Sabtu, 07 Juli 2012 jam 06.00 WIB – Minggu 08 Juli 2012 jam 18.00WIB
• Wajib mematuhi tata tertib selama acara berlangsung (terlampir)

L'Arc~en~Ciel World Tour 2012 - Jakarta

Last week (May 2, 2012), L'Arc~en~Ciel came to my country (*≧▽≦) They held a concert in Jakarta as part of their World Tour for celebrating their 20th anniversary.

The news of their comings had came months before. Its euphoria was awesome. The ticket was sold out in minutes, even the most expensive ones. That's not surprising actually since the amount of fans of Cielers (fans of L'Arc~en~Ciel) in Indonesia is very huge.

And alhamdulillah, I got this rare opportunity ♥
Exactly one day before the event! Oh, so close! ε-(´・｀)

So the next day, I went to the concert with my friends. We arrived at about 4 P.M. We aren't allowed to bring camera and foods so we had to buy beverages inside the area (the price is, uh, 'amazing'). And since I hadn't had ate anything since the night before, we bought some hot-dogs.

And as expected, the crowd was spectacular.

My friends and I split into three groups because we didn't buy same type of ticket. I, mas Gege and his little sister went to the front of the field. We stood and waited for hours. We prayed the rain wouldn't come because the organizer said that they would delay the concert if rainy. And finally... the concert began Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

Yes. That one lucky person is Ken Kitamura, the guitarist. He caught all my attention and my eyes (and heart. LOL.) was all with him.

They left the stage. Tetsu returned again to share some bananas and lollipop. And I got to go home because I have early class the next morning (bye Ken T_T)

They promise to come again next year. I wish they really will because I really curious about Ken gems they wear on their performance (I have a hobby in gemstones), and maybe if I can have one of theirs (But how? Hmm, sneaking in their room maybe? Oops.) Expect less lah :)

Souvenirs I got: VIP Package (Exclusive L'Arc~en~Ciel towel, VIP Card), VIP ticket and bangle, light stick, star shaped light stick I got free from the organizer, paperfan, etc. Didn't but anything from the merch corner due to my financial condition :p)
